Shipping Containers
Shipping containers are not only for cargo transport but are also widely used for storage and are converted into movable cafes and bars. Shipping containers are made from strong, high-quality Corten steel and are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions such as salty seawater, frost, ice, and tropical heat. Typically, shipping containers are designed for sea transport for about 15 years, after which they are sold off. Lightly used shipping containers are also available for sale.
We also supply shipping containers for various conversion projects. Our shipping containers have been used for various small buildings such as warehouses, auxiliary buildings, shelters, summer kitchens, guest houses, pop-up cafes, pizza restaurants, substations, generator stations, and temporary housing. Some customers choose to purchase new shipping containers because they are cleaner and more suitable for conversion. Shipping containers can be equipped with locks, making break-ins more difficult, and they are easily movable.
Before shipping and installing a container, preparatory work must be done on the base. The container must be installed on a flat base, and the corners must be leveled, otherwise, the doors may not open and close properly. The ground beneath the base should be removed and replaced with gravel and sand. The side or end walls of shipping containers can be removed and replaced with doors, windows, or sliding doors, and they can be interconnected with locks. Shipping containers can be stacked on top of each other up to eight units.
